最近上海への出張が多いので、そろそろ出向か？と思って
しまう今日この頃、戻って参りました、スタッフの田村です。
上海では１日に必ず一度はアンラッキーなことが起こります。
ローソンのレジで２人に順番を抜かされたり、スチュワーデスの
肘が思いっきり頭に直撃したり、横を通り過ぎようとした人の手
に握られた荷物が足に落ちてきたり・・・。とにかく痛いことだら
けです。風水で言うとこれは「凶方位」なのでしょうか・・・。たった
の５日間だけだったというのに、元気を奪われ、少々鬱気味です。
やはり上海から帰ってきたばかりのスタッフ李は喉の痛みか
ら始まり、昨日今日と引き続き、発熱の為ダウン気味です。上
海には北京人を苦しめる何か恐ろしいパワーが潜んでいるの
かもしれません。
上海は日本人向きの場所だなぁと感じてしまいます。気候は海
風の吹く穏やかなところで、料理の味はあっさり薄味、道路は細々
としているところが日本の景色を彷彿させるし、至る所にコンビニ
があります。確かに上海市内のどこへ行っても必ず日本語が聞こ
えてくるので、一瞬日本に帰ったのかと思わされるほどです。ハッ
と我に返って辺りを見回してみると、全てが漢字で表示され、消費
者金融や駅前留学の看板が見当たる訳もなく、やっぱり日本じゃ
ないのね、と気付くのです。
そしてさらにどこに行っても並ぶ事を知らない人を見かけ、通り
の名称を知らないだけでオバちゃんタクシー運転手に怒鳴られ、
あぁ、ここは日本じゃないんだわーーーっ！と気付かされるのです。
いくら日本人向きな所だとしても、いくら北京よりもコンビニの
おにぎりが手軽に手に入るといっても、再度上海に行くのは恐
ろしい。やはり上海に潜む何かが私をそう思わせているのでし
ょうか・・・。
